About Me

I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Forest Biology Lab at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute. I am broadly interested in how plants are impacted by anthropogenic climate change. Using an ecophysiology approach, I seek to understand how plants respond functionally to different climatic conditions, also integrating remote sensing and plot-based monitoring into my toolkit.

I focus primarily on trees in both natural forests and urban environments ranging across tropical and temperate biomes, using a variety of observational and manipulative experimental designs to explore acclimation and adaptation to long-term heat and drought.
